In Reaktion auf die Prämisse, dass über weiblich gelesene Personen frei verfügt werden kann, wenn sie nicht “angemessen” gekleidet sind, hat Je. Jesch in hacktivistischer* Manier die
modulare Accessoire Serie als defensive Textilarchitektur kreiert. In einer Kombination aus minimalistischen textilen Accessoires und einem Abwehrmechanismus aus dem Bereich der DIY-Sicherheits-Architektur, entstanden Wearables, die schon visuell eine klare Grenze kommunizieren sollen und der passiven Verteidigung dienen, ohne dabei an Erotik einzubüßen.
Die dazugehörige Foto Serie ist in Zusammenarbeit mit der Fotografin Viktoriia Smetana entstanden.
* „Hacktivismus“ ist ein Kofferwort, welches aus den Worten (Life-)Hack und Aktivismus
zusammengesetzt wird. Ein „Hack“ ist in diesem Fall eine kreative Zweckentfremdung.
In response to the premise that female persons are responsible for being aussaulted if they are not "appropriately" or dressed “too little”, Je. Jesch created the modular accessory series in a hacktivist* manner as a defensive textile architecture. In a combination of minimalist textile accessories and a defense mechanism from the field of DIY security architecture, wearables were
created that are intended to visually communicate a clear boundary and serve passive defense without sacrificing sexyness. The accompanying photo series was created in collaboration with the photographer Viktoriia
Smetana.
